MARCH 25-26, 2017
WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH TRACKING DATA?
Do you want to:
Investigate tracking data?
Bridge the gap between coaches and data?
Learn to impact the preparation for the next game?
Then the FC Nordsjælland Tracking
Data Hackathon is for you!
Allocated into teams, attendees will look to combine tracking data and event data to create insights aimed to improve post-match analysis and preparation for the next game
Working closely with professional coaches, groups will aim to create actionable insights which are then imported into the video analysis software, SportsCode, and then into Hudl video platform
Allowing players, coaches and video analysts to see the results of cutting-edge data analytics in the format that they love.. video
The Finer Details
Attendees will be split into teams of between 3-6 people with varying skills sets.
A group of friends or colleagues can enter an pre-organised team.
1. Each team will be allocated a professional coach who will have an initial brain-storming session and an idea fine-tuning session.
2. Each team will be allocated with a video analyst specialist who will ensure fluid integration with Sports Code and Hudl services.
The attendees will be provided with the data from FC Nordsjaælland and Brøndby IF 3 most recent games:
1. Ball Event Data: All event data such as passes, shots, duels etc, approximately between 2,000 - 3,000 events
2. Ball Tracking Data: X,Y coordinates for the ball at a rate of 10 frames per second
3. Player Tracking Data: X,Y coordinates for all players at a rate of 10 frames per second
Both clubs have agreed to the release of the data as has the provider STATS.
Each attendee will sign an Non Disclosure Agreement to prohibit the distribution of the datasets to non-attendees.
The final submission can be written in any language but must input the provided data and export an xml file ready for import into SportsCode and then Hudl. We encourage the use of R/Python as this will lead to easier usage within our workflows.
